07/11/05 Rocky Mountain Brands Inc. is pleased to note the continued growth in the U.S. consumption of bottled water according to Beverage Marketing Corp. Rocky Mountain Brands recently announced a 213% growth in its third quarter sales of bottled water.
Bottled water emerged as the second largest commercial beverage category by volume in the United States in 2003, and, despite its significant stature, it continued to grow at a rapid pace in 2004. The category is growing even more forcefully on a global scale, but in the United States, volume is unparalleled. In 2005, total U.S. category volume is projected to grow at an 8.1% rate and surpass 7.3 billion gallons. That translates into an average of 24.0 gallons per person, which means U.S. residents now drink more bottled water annually than any other beverage, other than carbonated soft drinks.
Rocky Mountain Brands recently announced the company received a sales evaluation from one of its leading clients, Fun Beverage, located in Kalispell, Mont. At the end of the third quarter 2005, sales of RKMB products is up 213% over 2004, and the company's name-brand label, Montaqua(TM), is in third place for non-alcoholic labels behind only Snapple and Red Bull.
The business of RKMB consists of bottling their own label of spring water, which flows from a spring owned by the company, and also bottling private label waters for other companies. Both sides of the business are very active and continue to show good growth.
