Unknown Brewing to Release Kitten Snuggles Farmhouse Catnip Ale
The Unknown Brewing Company is known for coming up with creative and tasty beers such as their truly delightful and recently sold out seasonal El Corazo´n, an ale brewed with Peruvian purple corn, hibiscus, peppers and spices; or Unknown’s more recent collaboration beer, Bound for Carolina, which included hominy grits and sorghum syrup, aged in ginger bourbon barrels from Charleston distillery, Virgil Kane.
Unknown’s newest beer will not disappoint in taste or creative concept. You are sure to get the feels as you cozy up to your glass of Kitten Snuggles. This unfiltered farmhouse ale brewed with milk sugar, fuzzy apricots, and catnip flowers is a purrfect flavor pairing. Available as a limited edition release across NC and available at Unknown Brewery in 22 oz. bottles and on draught.
This 9.0 ABV ale tastes like a silky smooth creamsicle, with a spiced fruit aroma. The late edition of catnip flowers in the brewing process gives a subtle earthy green tea flavor and aroma while milk sugar and oats add a nice body to this brew that wraps around your tongue so pleasingly, you just may start purring.
Kitten Snuggles ale was concepted in Portland while head brewer Brad Shell was visiting his fellow brewers on the west coast. One of his friends told him that a place actually exists in Portland and other places in the world where you can go to pay to snuggle kittens. Inspiration struck, and lots of cat vid- eos later Kitten Snuggles became a reality. Brad Shell says of the beer, “This is my favorite beer, right meow and it will be yours too!”
