Univar Reinforces its Environmental Expertise
As the new Environment Manager, Brault will be in charge of projects such as corporate compliance environmental audits and the preparation of applications and support studies relevant for environmental licenses.

28 Aug 2009 --- Univar, a leading European company specialising in the sales, marketing, application and safe, efficient handling of a wide range of chemicals and ingredients, announced the appointment of Jean-Philippe Brault as Environment Manager, EMEA. In his new position, Brault will be responsible for all environmental and remediation activities at Univar Europe. This new appointment showcases Univar’s commitment to strengthening its Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) team and to continuously improve the health and safety of employees, customers and the environment.
As the new Environment Manager, Brault will be in charge of projects such as corporate compliance environmental audits and the preparation of applications and support studies relevant for environmental licenses. Part of this job also will entail building strong relationships with regions and authorities relevant to Univar Europe. He will manage remediation and environmental activities to ensure that Univar projects are reviewed for best practice and compliance. Brault will also support Univar’s SHEQ team in implementing corporate policies, procedures and practices and will provide training on the implementation of environmental management systems.

Brault joins Univar following a career of progressive leadership in the French environment sector. In his last role, he was Director of the TAUW office in Paris, an agency focusing on all kinds of issues related to the environment, whether technical, judicial or economic. He successfully led complex projects for large multinational clients and won numerous tenders for the remediation of industrial, real estate and commercial sites. In this position, he was responsible for developing client portfolios and environmental regulations.
Before joining TAUW France, Brault worked at Lisec France, a consultancy offering environmental services to companies and public authorities, where he was responsible for the commercial strategy. Prior to this, Brault managed the Ile de France agency of SITA Remediation.
