IMCD US (formerly MF Cachat) is a leading speciality chemicals distributor in the US with a focus on the coatings, inks, adhesives & sealants, construction, plastics, advanced materials and food segments. Founded in 1977 upon a strategy of providing the highest level of trust, integrity, and transparency to its customers and supplier partners, IMCD US has delivered consistent growth since its inception by leveraging the industry expertise of its employees and partners to deliver innovative solutions which create value for its customers.
Marcus Jordan, President, IMCD Holdings US Inc. & Director Group Development explained to FoodIngredientsFirst that MF Cachat has built up a reputation within the US: “The name change further globalizes the IMCD brand and we hope over time will bring benefits and recognition as we expand into other core markets within the US,” says Jordan. “The change to IMCD US does not change anything from an operational perspective and all customers and suppliers can expect to receive the same highest level of service which they have come to expect.”
With its head office near Cleveland, Ohio, IMCD US currently represents market leading global chemical suppliers in more than 30 states throughout the Midwest, Central, Eastern and Southern regions of the US. In 2015, the company generated revenue of $300 million and has approximately 90 employees.
John Mastrantoni, President, IMCD US, comments on the event: “IMCD US’ commitment to customer and supplier focus and our core values will remain unchanged. Our first priority is to our customers and supplier partners. We remain committed to delivering value added solutions and industry leadership.” IMCD US looks forward to the synergies which can be created by leveraging each company’s supplier networks and expertise in their respective core markets, creating additional opportunities for organic growth.”
Jordan adds: “Organic growth is incredibly important to IMCD and we are primarily focused on growing the business with the world class suppliers we represent. This is achieved through a combination of IMCD's market focused approach, technical sales excellence and close working partnership with our principal partners to ensure continual value added growth,” says Jordan, “We are always looking for ways to further develop our business via a combination of organic growth and suitable bolt-on acquisitions.”
