Tetra Pak is acquiring Carlisle Process Systems Inc (CPS), USA

Lund, Sweden--Tetra Pak and Carlisle Companies Inc have reached an agreement where Tetra Pak will acquire Carlisle Process Systems (CPS), the cheese and powder processing business of Carlisle Companies Inc.
Through this acquisition, Tetra Pak Processing Systems will broaden its offering in the dairy and cheese categories, enabling Tetra Pak to offer complete production solutions. That includes whey treatment for the cheese producers and solutions for milk powder production. Furthermore, the acquisition provides Tetra Pak Processing Systems with an excellent platform for servicing the important cheese market in the USA, says Sam Strömerstén, President, Tetra Pak Processing Systems.
In 2005, CPS generated sales revenues of approximately MUSD 100 and had 300 employees.
The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals.
