Tessenderlo Group Completes Sale of Aliphos Business

04 Mar 2014 --- Tessenderlo Group has completed the sale of its Aliphos feed phosphate business to EcoPhos, an entrepreneurial Belgian producer and developer with feed phosphate as its core activity. The sale comprises one production site in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, three sales offices (Germany, Spain, Poland). In total 57 people are involved.

On November 20 2013, the group announced its intention to divest the Aliphos feed business. Information and consultation procedures were subsequently successfully completed. It is the last divestment in the group’s multi - year transformation.

Tessenderlo Group’s Aliphos business has since long been one of the world's largest producers of inorganic feed phosphates for animal feeds. Its products are globally marketed under the Aliphos, Windmill and AliGlys brand names. Tessenderlo Group is a worldwide specialty company, focused on food, agriculture, water management and on valorizing bio-residuals.

The group employs about 5,000 people and is a leader in most of its markets, with a consolidated revenue of 1.8 billion EUR in 2013.
