Taura Europe reports success with BRC accreditation
31 Mar 2005
BRC accreditation involves an extensive audit on supplier’s food safety and quality systems, including inspection standards, covering both internal and external practices.
Since the invention of the URC (Ultra Rapid Concentration) process in 1991, Taura’s fruit, savoury and sweet indulgent ingredients have built new brands, revolutionised production processes and enabled food manufacturers to deliver added value to their customers. URCâ pieces, flakes and pastes have been involved in the development of over 400 consumer products in recent years and are added to many world-leading brands of baked goods, cereals, nutritional snacks and confectionery.
BRC accreditation is a requirement of large food distribution chains in the United Kingdom and now a widely accepted standard throughout Europe. BRC accreditation involves an extensive audit on supplier’s food safety and quality systems, including inspection standards, covering both internal and external practices.
