Taiyo SunActive facility gains "superior" rating
Taiyo say that the Superior AIB score demonstrates Taiyo’s commitment to providing the highest quality and safest ingredients to customers in the food and beverage industries
06/06/05 Taiyo announced today that its SunActive manufacturing facility has received a “Superior” rating from the American Institute of Baking (AIB), the baking industry’s leading food safety auditor. A superior rating is the highest possible classification assigned by the AIB.
“Our Superior AIB score demonstrates Taiyo’s commitment to providing the highest quality and safest ingredients to customers in the food and beverage industries”, said Bill Driessen, technical sales manager of Taiyo International. “Ingredients such as our SunActive® Fe offer benefits to manufacturers of baked goods, confectioneries, cereal, bars and other food ingredients by offering high stability and taste free iron fortification with no gastric irritation. AIB’s recognition of our manufacturing process and attention to quality increases the comfort level for customers that want to fortify their products.”
SunActive Fe is the recipient of numerous international awards, recognizing it for its advanced research and ingredient applications, including the Most Innovative Food Ingredient Award at Food Ingredients Europe (FIE) and the NutrAward for Best New Product at Nutracon. SunActive Fe achieved “unlimited” GRAS status in 2004 for use in foods and beverages.
