Synergy Acquires Vanlab Corp.
As well as strengthening Synergy’s vanilla expertise, the acquisition will further extend the company’s US customer base, adding to its existing operations in Illinois.
30/01/07 Synergy Flavours, part of the Carbery Group, has announced its acquisition of US flavour house, Vanlab Corporation (Rochester, NY). In a move that strengthens the company’s overall product mix across sweet and savory flavours, the acquisition gives Synergy an industry-leading position in a broad range of vanilla products.
“The acquisition offers significant benefits to our customers throughout the food, beverage, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries,” comments Dan MacSweeney, CEO, Carbery Group. “Vanlab’s extensive range of vanilla products, including organic vanilla, is backed by nearly 100 years experience in the market and fits closely with Synergy’s own vanilla expertise.”
Vanlab offers an excellent range of flavour products that will complement and extend Synergy’s overall flavour offer to the market. As well as strengthening Synergy’s vanilla expertise, the acquisition will further extend the company’s US customer base, adding to its existing operations in Illinois.
Synergy is already well known as a supplier of innovative flavours for bakery, dairy, beverage, confectionery and nutraceutical products in the UK, Europe and Russia. At the company’s processing facility in High Wycombe, natural, nature-identical, organic and “suitable for organic” vanilla flavourings are currently being produced.
