Flavorings for a dynamic market which reflect the diversity and consumer patterns in the region and provide new inspiration. This is the idea behind Symrise Middle East's presentation at this year's Gulfood from February 27 to March 2, where it will share flavor solutions that are customized to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The employees at Symrise in Dubai have years’ worth of insights into the markets and flavor preferences of the Middle East and North Africa. This knowledge, combined with the expertise of a globally active corporation, creates the cornerstone of the custom-tailored regional product concepts Symrise is featuring at Gulfood. “The Middle East and North Africa region is one of Symrise’s key markets. Our aim is to faster and better serve our customers. Therefore, we’ve tailored our facility we set up last year in Dubai to regional taste preferences and demands,” says Ralf Streicher, Vice President Sales EAME at Symrise.

Consumer preferences in MENA are evolving: More often, a healthy lifestyle should not contradict enjoyment, and vice versa. Still, the flavor is what matters most. Symrise's new flavoring platform “taste for life“ – another focus at Gulfood – is how Symrise supports its clients to tailor brands and products to satisfy consumer preferences. “Thanks to taste for life and our consumer insights into the MENA region, we’re able to develop creative, market-driven product concepts that are tailored to consumer needs in this region,” explains Ralf Streicher.

At their Gulfood booth, Symrise will be sharing typically popular regional product concepts from all five categories of taste for life. Some highlights:

STAY VITAL products deliver active benefits to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. In this category clients will find products such as isotonic beverages with grapefruit-lemon flavor or milk-juice blends with pomegranate and blood orange.

LIGHTEN UP contributes to a balanced diet thanks to less salt, sugar, fat and no flavor enhancers. Among other concepts Symrise is offering at the Gulfood, there is a drinking yogurt flavored with green tea and mint, both very popular flavors in the MENA region.

With BE NATURAL Symrise offers unique taste solutions made of natural ingredients for products of natural quality. In this category Symrise features fruit gums with bilberry and lemon-lime extracts, toffees with vanilla and different fruit flavors, as well as cereal bars.

With JUST ENJOY Symrise offers products such as high-impact meat flavors for lamb, beef or chicken bouillons  that can be used in soups, sauces and other applications. The different meat flavors will win the consumer over with their authentic taste.

GET EXCITED stands for creative taste solutions which awaken consumers’ senses, inspiring stimulating sensations, e.g. the new sugar free chewing gum concept with alginate encapsulations. The new Symrise instant drinks inspire people with touches like oriental flowers, herbs and roots. These flavor concentrates create a well known, authentic elixir with the taste of home.
