By blending Eugene Science's CZ-S with its ice cream, Donatello's Japan will promote the good taste and health benefits of its new Chocolate Sterol Ice Cream in an upcoming marketing campaign.
23/03/06 Korean based Eugene Science, Inc., a developer and marketer of advanced nutraceutical products, has announced that Donatello's Japan Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese ice cream company, has placed an initial order for Eugene Science's patented, cholesterol-lowering CZ-S product.
CZ-S is virtually taste-free, fully water-soluble and can be used in a wide variety of food products to lower cholesterol. It is composed of plant sterols that have been shown in clinical studies to lower cholesterol and that are approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for health claims related to their cholesterol-lowering efficacy.
By blending Eugene Science's CZ-S with its ice cream, Donatello's Japan will promote the good taste and health benefits of its new Chocolate Sterol Ice Cream in an upcoming marketing campaign. Tokyo-based Donatello's Japan has extensive market reach. It operates ice cream shops in Japan in addition to "Beauty and Healthy" ice cream shops throughout the Tokyo area that sell specialized ice cream products to health-conscious consumers. It plans to continue opening numerous "Beauty and Healthy" ice cream shops this year supported by expanded marketing programs.
"This initial order from Donatello's Japan holds tremendous strategic value," said Dr. Seung Kwon Noh, Chief Executive Officer, Eugene Sciences. "Donatello's Japan is highly regarded for its top quality ice cream, while Japan offers a vibrant consumer marketplace with worldwide visibility. I am confident the introduction of the Chocolate Sterol Ice Cream will build consumer awareness, and generate new interest within the food and beverage sector, for CZ enhanced products that promote better heart health through lower cholesterol."
After years of extensive research, development and testing, Eugene Science is beginning to commercialize its CZ series of cholesterol lowering additives including the CholZero branded food and consumable products. Today's news follows the announcement earlier this month of a production and marketing agreement with Los Angeles-based Nutra Nano Tech for marketing CZ in capsule form.
As a first commercialization project against heart disease, Eugene Science has developed a nanoscience-based water soluble product called CZ™, a cholesterol-lowering functional food ingredient for health-conscious consumers available in capsule form or as a food and beverage additive. Eugene Science intends to license its CZ™ line of cholesterol-lowering ingredients to companies worldwide. Eugene Science is headquartered in Bucheon, Kyunggi-Do, Korea, and was founded July 1997.
