Special Prize for "Seduced by Invercote"
The award-winning material consists of a book, printed by Thomas Grafische Veredelung of Germany, and an exclusive box made by the French converters Thibault of Bergeron.
18/05/07 The international campaign “Seduced by Invercote” from Iggesund Paperboard won a special prize when the German advertising association GWA handed out its awards for the year’s best productions. This is the second time in the space of a few years that Iggesund has won special prizes from GWA for its productions.
The award-winning material consists of a book, printed by Thomas Grafische Veredelung of Germany, and an exclusive box made by the French converters Thibault of Bergeron. As well as containing the book, the white, black and orange box also holds four smaller boxes in different shapes – all made of Invercote.
“Seduced by Invercote” is a display of all the elegant finishing techniques that can be used to help paperboard convey everything from feelings and moods to high-impact messages. To illustrate this, Iggesund Paperboard collaborated with the exclusive French firm of chocolatiers, Valrhona, and used their world to demonstrate Invercote’s possibilities. The agency behind the concept and implementation is Schindler Parent & Cie of Germany.
“But this is not a book about chocolate – far from it,” emphasises Guy Mallinson, Business Director Packaging, Iggesund Paperboard. “It is a book aimed at all the packaging professionals in the premium segment who want to keep up to date with the most spectacular techniques for attracting the consumer’s interest.”
He is both proud and pleased that the award came to Iggesund, and sees it as confirmation that quality pays off – in both communications and production.
“We must remind people again and again about the advantages of paperboard packaging. As well as being a powerful conveyor of messages and an excellent means of attracting attention, it is almost unsurpassed in the logistics chain leading to the consumer. This, combined with the psychological and emotional content that can be added to paperboard packaging by means of superb design and exciting embossing, foil lamination, and effect varnishing, makes it a fantastic tool.”
