Solbar functional soy protein concentrates family
Solcon S can be used in a wide variety of meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian analogue applications.
Following the successful introduction of its first two functional soy protein concentrates in 2003-2004; Solbar Industries Ltd. has developed unique technologies to offer a complete range of FSPC products. The Solcon S family already includes its flagship S-110 and S-200 proteins. Completing the line with the new Solcon S-220, S-117, S-118, S-121 and S-300, Solcon S can be used in a wide variety of meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian analogue applications.
“Each of the Solcon S functional soy proteins are suited for specific manufacturer requirements, from strong emulsions and gels to high-speed injection. Solbar’s goal is to find the exact ratio of functionality and price to answer our customer needs,” said Gary Brenner, Marketing Director for Solbar.
Brenner reports that, “Solbar’s global technical service managers have combined their vast experience in meat technologies; working with the company R&D and production teams to successfully enlarge the FSPC platform. Solbar’s strategy is to further expand its Solcon S family, and become a global leader in functional soy protein concentrates within a short time.”
Solbar recently inaugurated its first specialty proteins factory outside Israel. A wholly owned facility in Ningbo FTZ, China, produces Solcon S for China and Asia/Pacific markets. Solbar Ningbo Food Co., Ltd. will also produce Contex textured soy concentrates and Bontex steam-textured soy proteins.
