25/11/2006 Serac introduces Metis a new rotary filling-capping machine that combines high-quality weight filling with high work-rates for thick liquid cosmetics (shampoo, shower gel...).

Métis is above all a high performance filling machine. Serac considers weight filling technology to be the best for ensuring that the container is filled with the correct product quantity. Of the utmost reliability and precision, weight filling also prevents costly overfilling of expensive products and offers an accurate tracking system used during and at the end of filling.

The best way to cleanly, efficiently and quickly fill containers with highly viscous products is to have the filling pipe penetrate inside the container (neck coverage). Serac chose to lift the container up towards the pipe. As a result, it is the container support platform which rises up and allows the pipe to penetrate into the neck. In this way Métis is able to combine high filling rates (up to 600 containers per minute) and quality weight filling while keeping the product circuit simple, efficient and easy to clean.

Furthermore, Metis is an efficient capping machine with a position detection system ideal for use with flip-top caps.
