Serac and Urola Develop Bloc for Ultra-Clean Food Packaging
This technology enables to prevent from having bottle chemical disinfection upstream the filler. It’s also a more compact line with a smaller foot print.
5/10/2011 --- Serac, in partnership with Urola, a Spanish company specialized in PET stretch-blow-moulding, has designed the ‘’Urola-Serac bloc’’. This system features a direct link between the Urola linear blow-moulder URBI 4 or 6 version and the Serac H2F new ultra-clean rotary weigh filler-capper with 2 ranges of lines: one based on 6 000 bph and the other on 9 000 bph (Reference format: 1L size).
The typical application for this ‘’Urola-Serac bloc ’’ is ultra-clean packaging of refrigerated products like pasteurized / ESL milk, drinking yoghurt, probiotics, kefir, more generally fermented milk, milk & juice drinks, freshly squeezed juices in PET bottles from 100 ml to 2L size with one single neck finish (mostly 38 mm) for plastic screw-cap.
This technology enables to prevent from having bottle chemical disinfection upstream the filler. It’s also a more compact line with a smaller foot print. The cap decontamination is using the ‘’pulsed light’’ technology which replaces chemical treatment.
Finally this system is designed for ultra-clean applications and corresponds to the market needs for improving the hygiene of bottle packaging lines in the dairy industry and securing product longer shelf-life in cold chain.
