Sainsbury's Selects Amcor's PushPop Pack for Chocolate Range

17/07/08 Sainsbury's is using the PushPop pack from Amcor Flexibles for its Taste the Difference chocolates.
The packs are made from a two-ply laminate of natural OPP that is reverse printed and laminated to a white PE.
The gravure printing, lamination and slitting was also done by Amcor.
Sainsbury's product developer for confectionery Lucy Clark said the supermarket had selected the pack because it provides a "modern packaging solution for a treat product".
The PushPop packs can be opened without using a knife or scissors as consumers simply push in the special perforation on the top to pop the pack open. Owing to their wide opening, they are suitable for a range of products that can be eaten straight from the pack.
Sainsbury's Taste the Difference chocolates include dusted milk chocolate hazelnuts, Belgian milk chocolate fruit & nut selection and white chocolate strawberries. They are supplied by Kinnerton Confectionery, which produces children's and adult confectionery novelties in Fakenham, Norfolk.
