SABMiller plans to buy Empresarial Bavaria
To pay around $6 billion for the deal.
19/07/05 SABMiller PLC is planning to buy Colombian brewer Grupo Empresarial Bavaria for around $6 billion.
The “cash-and-stock” deal for South America's second-biggest beer producer would entail Britain's SABMiller paying $3.5 billion in its stock for the Bavaria stake held by the family that controls about 70 percent of GEB.
