Royal Unibrew Polska Sp. z o.o. Accelerates the Divesture of the Brewery in Koszalin

Royal Unibrew Polska has entered into an agreement concerning the sale of the brewing facilities in Koszalin and the simultaneous transfer of the employees at the brewery to Van Pur SA – a Polish brewery group.

30/03/09 As stated in the announcement of Royal Unibrew’s annual results for 2008 for Royal Unibrew the production structure in Poland will be adjusted by closing the brewery in Koszalin (Company announcement 02/2009 of 26 February 009). Hence, consultations with the employees at the Koszalin brewery have been initiated.

Royal Unibrew Polska has entered into an agreement concerning the sale of the brewing facilities in Koszalin and the simultaneous transfer of the employees at the brewery to Van Pur SA – a Polish brewery group.

The agreement is subject to approval by the Polish office for Protection of Consumer and Competition. It is anticipated that the transaction will be completed by the end of April or beginning of May 2009. In line with the strategic initiatives for Poland announced previously, the transaction will have a positive impact on the Group’s outlook (EBIT) for 2009 as stated in the above mentioned announcement. The cash flow for 2009 will also be influenced positively.

The remaining restructuring initiatives will continue as planned.
