Roquette has launched Horizons, a foresight platform designed to help food and nutrition businesses anticipate industry shifts and develop long-term strategies amid evolving consumer expectations, regulations, and technological disruptions.
The platform combines AI-driven trend scanning with expert analysis to identify emerging signals across lifestyle shifts, regulations, technologies, market dynamics, and resource management. These signals are prioritized according to their likelihood and impact, and then developed into future scenarios that help guide innovation strategy.
“Horizons is about giving the food industry the confidence to look further ahead and act with clarity today,” says Sébastien Adelis, Roquette’s Food & Nutrition global insights and digital planner. “Industry is being reshaped by shifting consumer expectations, new health priorities, regulatory pressures, and breakthrough technologies. The challenge is not simply keeping pace with these changes but anticipating what they will mean.”
Horizons follows a four-step process: scanning for change signals, transforming them into radars prioritized by impact, constructing scenarios that explore different future conditions, and translating these into practical ideation tools and strategy guidance.
While AI accelerates scanning, human specialists validate each signal and scenario to ensure credibility. External collaborations with partners, including think tank Hello Tomorrow and EDHEC Business School, add rigor to the scanning phase.

The platform is launching with online access to selected foresight resources, including industry radars, driver cards, scenarios, and ideation materials. These tools can facilitate tailored co-creation projects with food manufacturers seeking to stress-test strategies across multiple potential futures.
