Rexam Fashions Crimpless Pump To Secure Metal Collar On 'Daytona 500' Racing Wheel Spray
Rexam’s The Crimpless System offers greater productivity for the customer on the filling line, with a unique functionality that seamlessly and efficiently integrates other components in producing a complete package.
17/02/07 Rexam has engineered its patented The Crimpless System pump assembly for the new ‘Daytona 500’ fragrance bottle from Elizabeth Arden. The Rexam pump not only dependably dispenses the product but, at the same time, holds in place a distinctive metal collar plate that decorates the glass top of the eye-catching ‘Daytona’ package.
The fragrance package for men is designed to mimic a racing tire, wheel and hub found on a typical Daytona-type racecar. Rexam Dispensing Systems’ cimpless pump assembly matches the shiny silver color of the decorative plate while the actuator sticks up through a center opening in the outer cap to resemble a wheel hub.
Rexam has fashioned its super low profile pump (SLPP) for the fragrance’s 50 and 100 ml sizes. In addition, Rexam produces, in partnership with Le Papillon, the scent’s sampler size: Rexam’s unique ‘Sof-flag’ mini spray.

“This project was fun and exciting in the spirit of the Daytona race itself,” said Tony Cecchinato, Vice President of Sales at Rexam Dispensing Systems. “This innovative and creative package demonstrates once again the versatility and utility of our advanced crimpless technology. Rexam’s The Crimpless System offers greater productivity for the customer on the filling line, with a unique functionality that seamlessly and efficiently integrates other components in producing a complete package.”
