Redhook Brewery’s Winterhook Ale Returns for 31st Year
05 Nov 2015 --- Seattle – For the 31st straight year, Redhook is celebrating the return of colder days and even colder nights with its latest release of long-time seasonal favorite Winterhook. Continuing its tradition of bringing a little holiday variety to this winter warmer, Redhook has once again riffed on the beer’s recipe to create Winterhook #31.
Winterhook #31 is a dark mahogany, full-bodied beer with an aroma of roasted malt and a touch of coffee. This year’s brew features a subtle spiciness from the rye malt and dark stone fruit flavors from the yeast, for the perfect finish.
“The real trick with a beer like this is delivering the ideal beer balance by providing a really nice, full malt flavor without being overwhelming,” said Redhook Innovation Brewer Nick Crandall. “Striking this balance makes Winterhook #31 the perfect beer to enjoy after a day of raking up leaves, hitting the slopes or camping out on your sofa watching sports highlights with your dogs.”
At 31 years young, Winterhook is one of the longest running beers in the Redhook portfolio, and it continues to satisfy wintertime thirsts year-after-year. Winterhook returns this year along with its fan-favorite ugly sweater coozies, to keep that beer hand warm and ready for the next snowball fight.
Winterhook #31 hits the shelves in 12-ounce bottles on October 5, in six packs, 12 packs and as part of Redhook’s “Foursome” variety 12 pack. The beer is also available on tap. Check out the Redhook beer finder: Redhook.com/find-beer to locate some Winterhook near you. 6.0% ABV, 45 IBU.
