Pyure Brands Receives Official No Objection Notification from FDA for Pyure Reb A
The FDA’s no objection letter identifies Pyure Brands’ Reb A as generally recognized as safe (GRAS), through scientific procedures for use in beverages, foods and tabletop sweeteners.
14 Jun 2010 --- Pyure Brands, LLC, a leading supplier of high purity Rebaudioside A (Reb A), has received official notification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stating the agency has no objection to the determination of an independent expert panel that evaluated comprehensive research and safety data for Pyure’s extensive line of stevia extracts, stevia blends and stevia tabletop sweeteners.
The FDA’s no objection letter identifies Pyure Brands’ Reb A as generally recognized as safe (GRAS), through scientific procedures for use in beverages, foods and tabletop sweeteners.

Pyure Brands submitted a GRAS notification to the FDA on January 13, 2010. The expert panel unanimously concluded that Pyure Brands’ Reb A is GRAS by scientific procedures, under the conditions of its intended use as a general-purpose sweetener.
The Pyure retail division is divided into private label stevia, food service and organic stevia products. Today, Pyure Brands is developing private label stevia programs for the top retailers in the U.S. and the Pyure brand will be seen across the U.S., South America, Europe and Asia in the near future.
Brenntag AG, one of the largest ingredient distributors in the world, currently handles sales management and distribution in North America and Europe for Pyure’s commercial division. The Pyure commercial team has over 400 active stevia projects in product development.
