Puratos Japan Continues its Activities from Osaka

Puratos has opened a back office in Osaka, 500 kms south from Tokyo. All administrative and commercial tasks are managed from there, instead of from the main office in Tokyo.

3/18/2011 --- As an international group, Puratos also has a subsidiary in Japan. After the events of the past week, Puratos can confirm that all 50 Japanese employees are safe with their families.

Puratos has opened a back office in Osaka, 500 kms south from Tokyo. All administrative and commercial tasks are managed from there, instead of from the main office in Tokyo. The deliveries to Japanese clients were resumed on March 15th and are going fairly well. The provisioning from Belgium and the US can continue in a regular way.

A crisis centre has been established at Puratos' head office in Brussels. There, the situation is being monitored and discussed constantly. The communication has been centralised in Brussels, and recommendations and advice are given from there in close collaboration with Puratos Japan and the authorities.

If the nuclear risk increases, new measures will be applied, Puratos reported.
