Premium Ingredients to Open Second Portable Powder Blending factory

27 Nov 2015 --- Premium Ingredients Food Services India, a company specialized in the formulation and blending of food powder products and part of the Blendhub Corp. group, will be operating its second modular and Portable Powder Blending (PPB) factory in India by mid 2016.

The second PPB, will serve the Indian market, producing Premium Ingredients own products; but also operating as a hub for Indian and international raw material producers, food producers and formulations blenders; and for formulators from the Blendhub Corp.’s Professional Network or allfoodexperts members.

The Blendhub Corp. set-up will work as state-of-the-art full-service platform for Indian and foreign companies to “Make In India” food powders for the Indian Domestic market with low/no CAPEX, and minimum risk offering highest food safety standards. Companies will be able to get their formulations hosted by Blendhub Corp. and access all other services of the platform in accordance to their needs for accessing customers on the world’s largest and fastest growing food market with a huge competitive advantage.

This PPB will also enable independent formulators to have their formulations hosted by Blendhub Corp. and thereby allowing them to optimize the true business potential of their formulation and application's know-how on a freelance basis.

Current Premium Ingredients customers in India who at present are being supplied from Spain will have the advantage of an optimized supply chain and lower/no custom tariff barriers by being supplied from India and thereby reducing lead times and costs.

The new PPB will be supported by the Blendhub Corp. full-service platform offering transparency and safety in all operations with the objective to produce high quality food powder blends at the best price, and needing only minimum infrastructure and low power supply.

With a complete roll out time in this specific case of eight months, including the construction of the plant with all operational permissions, ISO 22000 certification and much more, Blendhub Corp. shows how any company active in the agri-food value chain can easily enter into a new market anywhere or increase its production capacity in those locations where they are already established with minimum risk, low cost and high quality.

The current PPB being operated by Premium Ingredients Food Services India since 2011 and located at the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), north of Chennai, is today producing food powder blends for foreign markets, using partly local Indian raw materials, operated by local people and delivering high quality food powder blends to countries in the GCC, optimizing custom tariffs, supply chain, logistics and operational costs. The Blendhub Corp. full-service platform is at present also being used by other Indian food producers and food powder blenders to export their formulations.
