Prawn Crackers Wrapped in CERAMIS

The choice for this structure was made in conjunction with Amcor Flexibles Alzira and Amcor Flexibles Kreuzlingen's Business Unit CERAMIS due to the sensitivity of the prawn cracker.

2 Apr 2010 --- The Dutch Asian Food manufacturer Go-Tan have chosen a BOPP-SiOx / BOPP-metallised structure for wrapping their artisan way produced prawn crackers. The choice for this structure was made in conjunction with Amcor Flexibles Alzira and Amcor Flexibles Kreuzlingen's Business Unit CERAMIS due to the sensitivity of the prawn cracker.

Raghild Jacobs, product manager at Go-Tan explains that the high quality prawn crackers contain a high percentage of prawns, and the crackers are fried in vegetable oil. Therefore, the need for an excellent oxygen barrier and light protection is imminent. The crackers are packed under protected gas in a flow-wrap. The longitudinal seal in a flow-wrap is always very critical on leaks, however due to the excellent Amcor barrier choice in the protective packaging, Go-Tan can guarantee a shelf-life of 12 weeks for this sensitive product.
