Poore Brothers introduces Cinnabon brand cookies
Successfully completes concept testing, product development, and consumer testing on a variety of Cinnabon(R) snack
22/04/05 The United States, Poore Brothers, Inc. has announced that the Company has commenced the introduction and sale of Cinnabon(R) brand cookies pursuant to its licensing agreement with Cinnabon(R), Inc., the market leader among cinnamon roll bakeries and a subsidiary of FOCUS Brands, Inc.
Poore Brothers has successfully completed concept testing, product development, and consumer testing on a variety of Cinnabon(R) snack food products, including three cookie items that have commenced initial shipments. The products being launched are (i) a Cinnamon Roll soft cookie, with rich cinnamon filling and cream cheese flavored frosting, (ii) a Cinnamon Sandwich cookie, filled with cream cheese flavored frosting, and (iii) a Cinnamon Swirl crisp cookie. All three items are made with Cinnabon(R)'s proprietary Makara(R) Cinnamon to provide a flavor experience consumers are accustomed to with the Cinnabon(R) Classic Cinnamon Roll.
Initial promotional shipments are expected this quarter to select mass merchandiser and grocery retailers. Availability in other retailers and channels is also expected to follow shortly thereafter depending on retailer and consumer interest. Additional product concepts are being reviewed for possible development and market testing later this year.
