PG Tips Launches Green Tea Range
PG Tips Green Tea features the trademark PG tips pyramid shaped bag to help the tea infuse more quickly and to free all the goodness of the green tea leaves.
11/04/08 PG Tips, the leading tea brand from Unilever UK, is aiming to accelerate Green Tea from a niche to a more accessible mainstream offering, with the launch of a three-strong range.
The PG Tips Green Tea range will be available from April and will be supported by targeted below-the-line activity.
Adrian Adams, Senior Category Manager Unilever Beverages, says: “Green Tea is currently enjoying strong value growth (+7.8%, AC Nielsen MAT 26/1/8), well ahead of the total tea category, thanks to the perceived health benefits associated with it. The new range from PG Tips will make Green Tea more accessible, driving penetration and market growth.”
PG Tips Green Tea features the trademark PG tips pyramid shaped bag to help the tea infuse more quickly and to free all the goodness of the green tea leaves. It is made from natural flavours and is a natural source of flavonoid antioxidants (which are found in fruit & vegetables).
The range comprises PG Tips Green tea, PG Tips Green tea Lemon flavoured and PG Tips Green tea Mint flavoured, and has a recommended retail price of £1.89 for a pack of 40 (four packs per case).
