Pernod Ricard moves closer to acquisition of Allied Domecq
Allied agrees on a £7.4bn takeover by Pernod Ricard.
21/04/05 Pernod Ricard moves closer to acquire Allied Domecq for around £7.4bn (€10.8bn) in stock and cash, combining the world's second and third largest spirits makers.
The offer is understood to value the UK spirits maker at 670p per share. Pernod would formally announce the takeover on Thursday.
