PepsiCo and Vail Resorts Renew Multi-Year Relationship
This renewed relationship allows PepsiCo and Vail Resorts to continue providing guests “the experience of a lifetime” across Vail Resorts’ seven world-class ski resorts in Colorado, California and Nevada and the Grand Teton Lodging Company in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
12 Dec 2012 --- PepsiCo Foodservice and Vail Resorts, Inc. announced a multi-year renewal of their marketing and product distribution partnership, building on a relationship that has spanned over two decades.
PepsiCo and Vail Resorts are eager to work together to build even deeper connections with their joint consumers through their shared expertise in outdoor sports, music and the digital space. Activation will include events such as the upcoming Vail Snow Daze Wilco Concert on Dec. 15 and the nationally broadcast Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colo., taking place over Dec. 13-16.
The companies will also work together on new ways of engaging consumers through technology. Vail Resorts is PepsiCo’s first customer to feature the new state-of-the-art Pepsi Smart Cooler™, which includes a transparent, liquid-crystal display (LCD) on the cooler door and video footage of PepsiCo’s beverage brands and the 2012 Dew Tour.
As part of the deal, PepsiCo will continue to be the exclusive soft drink, sports fuel, tea, juice and bottled water provider – serving beverages such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Lipton Iced Teas, Naked Juice and Aquafina. PepsiCo is also the preferred food supplier with its Frito-Lay, Quaker and Sabra brands.
“We’re thrilled to renew our long-term relationship with Vail Resorts,” said Tom Bené, president of PepsiCo Foodservice. “Our Gatorade and Mountain Dew brands have a long heritage of energizing, engaging and supporting skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts and professionals. Our partnership with Vail Resorts allows us to continue to do this in an authentic, unique way with the right products and right experiences that are most important to this passionate community.”
“The Vail Resorts partnership with PepsiCo provides our guests a top-quality selection of beverages and foods to enjoy while experiencing our world-class resorts,” said Kirsten Lynch executive vice-president and chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts. “Additionally PepsiCo’s involvement in sponsorship of signature events at our resorts like the Dew Tour and Vail Snow Daze concerts truly exemplifies our partnership in elevating the guest experience through marquee events at our resorts.”
