PepsiAmericas Signs Agreement to Distribute Muscle Milk

Under the terms of the agreement, PAS will have a license to distribute the ready-to-drink line of Muscle Milk and Muscle Milk Light in its territories in the U.S.

03/12/08 PepsiAmericas, Inc. announced that it has signed an agreement with CytoSport, Inc. to distribute Muscle Milk, the leader in protein-enhanced functional beverages in the United States.

Under the terms of the agreement, PAS will have a license to distribute the ready-to-drink line of Muscle Milk and Muscle Milk Light in its territories in the U.S. The agreement is effective immediately and PAS will begin distribution in February. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Muscle Milk further strengthens our product portfolio, providing PAS with a strong entry into this fast-growing functional beverage segment,” said Michael Durkin, executive vice president of U.S. sales and marketing for PepsiAmericas. “Adding it to our product offering is a win for our customers and their consumers.”

Muscle Milk is a complete protein beverage that promotes lean muscle growth, fast recovery from exercise and healthy, sustained energy.
