05/08/05 Get ready to set the table and eat with your Knife & Fork! Introducing a new range of food-friendly Australian wines, especially crafted for serving in casual restaurants, cafes, and trendy bars. Easy to pronounce and easy to remember, Knife & Fork wines not only offer the soft, full fruit flavors that Australian wines are known for, but are targeted at wine consumers who do not take themselves too seriously. The wines, which are being launched by Pacific Wine Partners, are uniquely packaged in 1-liter bottles and sealed with screw caps.
Knife & Fork wines are available in four different varietals:
- The Knife & Fork Chardonnay exhibits fresh lemon-lime flavors, with some melon and peach, a hint of vanillin oak and a soft lingering palate, pairing particularly well with grilled fish, chicken, and light pasta dishes.
- The Knife & Fork Shiraz is rich purple in color, displaying classic Shiraz characters of raspberry, plums, and cherries with a little spice, and persistent supple tannins. It is the perfect match for a steak or burger, with potatoes on the side.
- The Knife & Fork Cabernet Sauvignon shows sweet and intense plum and black cherry fruit flavors with subtle spice, and toasty oak, pairing well with tomato-based pasta dishes and barbecued meats.
- The Knife & Fork Merlot displays fresh raspberry, blueberry and plum flavors complemented by soft spicy oak, offering a generosity of flavor that lingers on the palate matching perfectly with risotto or ravioli.
