Osem-Nestle and Coca-Cola Israel negotiating JV in Tara

Coca-Cola Israel is also considering renaming Tara Dairies, and is also negotiating with international dairy companies, including Italy's Parmalat Finanziaria SpA.

08/03/05 Osem Investments, controlled by Nestle, and Central Bottling Co. (Coca-Cola Israel) are negotiating a joint venture in Tara Agricultural Producers Cooperative Society (Tara Dairies), acquired by Coca-Cola Israel.

Sources added that Coca-Cola Israel is considering renaming Tara Dairies, and is also negotiating with international dairy companies, including Italy's Parmalat Finanziaria SpA.

Osem-Nestle at one time considered acquiring Tara Dairies for $70 million, before concluding that the price was too high.
