NuVim eliminates High Fructose Corn Syrup from its products
New product scores much higher than the current version in terms of taste and has only 45 calories per serving and less carbohydrates.
09/02/06 NuVim, Inc. announced a new NuVim product that eliminates High Fructose Corn Syrup from NuVim refrigerated products. The new formula was developed after months of studies and tests in conjunction with MasterTaste of Teterboro, NJ, and William Franke, PhD, Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Food Technology at Rutgers University and a NuVim Board member. The exceptional taste of the new product scored much higher than the current version and has only 45 calories per serving and less carbohydrates. It achieves these goals and eliminates high fructose corn syrup, which has been linked to significant weight gain. The new product is expected to hit the shelves in 2 to 3 months.
According to a March 16, 2005 NIH News Release, "over the next few decades, life expectancy for the average American could decline by as much as 5 years unless aggressive efforts are made to slow the rising rates of obesity."
NuVim believes that High Fructose Corn Syrup has been identified as a contributing factor to the coming obesity epidemic, and NuVim wants to be a leader to help keep America healthy.
