Nutrinova Announces Further Price Increase for Certain Sorbate Products

This price increase, due to the significant cost increase of energy and key raw materials, will be effective for shipments on or after August 1, 2008.

18/07/08 Nutrinova, the food ingredients business of Celanese, announced that it will further increase the price for potassium sorbate granules and potassium sorbate powder by at least 15 percent or as contracts allow. This price increase, due to the significant cost increase of energy and key raw materials, will be effective for shipments on or after August 1, 2008.

Last month Nutrinova already announced an increase on the price of its sorbates products (sorbic acid and potassium sorbate) by an average of 10 % effective July 1, 2008 or as contracts allow.
