NP Nutra to Launch 6 New Products in Line With Organic Trends
09 Mar 2016 --- Nature’s Power Nutraceuticals (NP Nutra) will showcase some of their new organic products at the Engredea trade show at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 11 – 13, 2016.
NP Nutra's new products include a premium Blueberry juice powder, Lemon juice powder, Spinach Powder, Noni P.E. 5:1 powder and Lo Han Guo P.E. 7%, also known as Monk Fruit.
Margaret Gomes, Director of Marketing for NP Nutra, says that organic is impacting customer choices everywhere, she told FoodIngredientsFirst: “Product developers are definitely adding more and more organic ingredients to their products and we are answering their demands by carrying more organic ingredients and offering the organic choice.”
The nutritional value of blueberry together with its subtle sweet taste makes it easy to add into product formulations and blends. Gomes says: “Blueberry is currently in high demand with product developers due to its sweet flavor, high antioxidant value and nutrient-rich profile. NP Nutra’s organic Blueberry juice powder is produced using a unique light wave drying technique to preserve the most color, flavor and quality of the fruits.”
Lo Han Guo (monk fruit) has emerged over the past years as a popular alternative sweetener and our sales have pretty much doubled over the past two years. “Lo Han Guo is gaining much popularity as product developers search for a healthy alternative sweetener and healthy weight management ingredient,” says Gomes.
Since most alternative sweeteners are too sweet to be used on their own a new product category is emerging in the marketplace using a combination of healthy sweet ingredients such as Stevia, Monk fruit and sugar alcohols like xylitol.
Known for its preserving qualities, Lemon juice powder is widely used in the marketplace. Spinach powder is one of the popular greens loaded with nutrients and used in a multitude of products including bars, green blend powders, and all sorts of baked goods and snacks.
