Nissin Foods Debuts New Noodle Technology with Launch of World Pasta Product
With traditional manufacturing it was impossible to produce instant ramen without the wave since the noodles are prone to stick together. These new noodles provide a more restaurant-quality appearance and texture that is easier to prepare.
27/04/09 Nissin Foods (USA) Co., Inc. announced the launch of Chow Noodles featuring the proprietary "premium straight-cut noodle" technology. Chow Noodles is a line of microwavable noodles and sauce. With some water and a microwave, this easy-to-prepare meal is perfect for lunch at the office or at home. "It's portable and doesn't even need a fridge to store. What could be more convenient?" exclaims Ken Sasahara, company president.
The secret to the quality of these noodles is the breakthrough technology developed by Nissin Foods. With traditional manufacturing it was impossible to produce instant ramen without the wave since the noodles are prone to stick together. These new noodles provide a more restaurant-quality appearance and texture that is easier to prepare.
The introduction of these straight-cut noodles is a global coordinated effort in seven areas: Japan, US, China, Hong Kong, Germany, England and France. Each country has developed tastes suitable to each area and a localized brand name. In the US, Chow Noodles features Tomato & Basil, Alfredo, and Cheddar Cheese flavors. Consumer research shows that people do appreciate the difference in noodle quality and enjoy the overall flavor.
Nissin is proud to continue its heritage of innovation and offers more ways to enjoy ramen -- especially important during these hard economic times.
