06 Nov 2015 --- Newburyport, MA — Newburyport Brewing announces today that its 1635 Series Barleywine won the Gold Medal in the “Strong Beer” category. Newburyport Pale Ale, Plum Island Belgian White, and the 1635 Series Saison each won Silver Medals in the categories of “American Pale Ale”, “Witbier”, and “Saison”, respectively. The 1635 Series Kölsch rounded out the awards with a Bronze Medal in the “Kölsch” category.
