New Stand up Pouch Packaging Technology for UHT Dairy Drinks
Elle & Vire are using ProAseptic machinery to create UHT dairy drink products in new stand up re-closable pouches. The new ‘Yaggo’ branded product is targeted at the children’s market and is supplied in Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate flavours.
Jul 1 2010 --- ProAseptic Technologies of Barcelona Spain, a well know manufacturer of innovative soft packaging machinery for aseptically filled food and beverages products, have announced the successful implementation of a new packaging Technology for Elle & Vire, a large French Dairy Manufacturer.
Elle & Vire are using ProAseptic machinery to create UHT dairy drink products in new stand up re-closable pouches. The new ‘Yaggo’ branded product is targeted at the children’s market and is supplied in Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate flavours. The aseptically filled drinks will have a 180 day shelf life, while stored at an ambient temperature.
The machine used for this application is the Pro-A2 Sterilizing, Forming, Filling and Sealing Machine. It handles 2 pouches per cycle/machine with a speed of up to 6,000 pouches/hour.
It uses H²O² as the chemical sterilant which is suitable for neutral pH products that are to be stored at ambient temperatures. The Pro-A2 is interchangeable and Elle & Vire also use the machine for their UHT cream product range. It provides the company with the flexibility to dose low and high viscous product.
The ‘Yaggo’ range of products were recently announced as finalists in the prestigious 2010 IDF Dairy Awards in the categories of ‘Best New Dairy Drink’ and ‘Best Packaging Innovation’
