New in the Sleek Can: Chillmi
In the 19th century, a Swiss missionary discovered that the descendants of the Maya in Mexico drank an exotic mixture of mint, chili and fresh well water after a hard day's work.
27/11/07 Chillmi, a new soft drink in the Sleek Can, the slim-line 330 ml can from Ball Packaging Europe, was launched in June 2007. The functional drink with fruit and herb extracts flavoured with chili and mint is produced by the Swiss company, SWISS Chillmi AG. Instead of releasing adrenaline, the drink has a relaxing effect on consumers, freeing them from day-to-day worries. And the producers achieve this completely without additives such as alcohol, sugar or extra vitamins.
The recipe originates from a barman who found it in a dusty drawer in 2005. He recognised the potential and in doing so smoothed the way forward for Chillimi - after a long history:

When he returned to Switzerland after completing his Christian mission, the recipe was still between the pages of his Bible and was completely forgotten. It was not until 150 years later that the missionary's discovery was turned into the innovation Chillimi.
