Naturex Experiences Boost In Rosemary Demand
Naturex, a major player in the production of natural ingredients, has experienced an increase in rosemary extract sales of 20% in 2006 compared to 2005 (year-to-date).
22/09/06 The herb rosemary is known for its powerful antioxidant properties. Because of increasing demand from consumers for safe products and due to concerns over chemically-derived synthetic preservatives, food makers increasingly source natural preservatives. Naturex, a major player in the production of natural ingredients, has experienced an increase in rosemary extract sales of 20% in 2006 compared to 2005 (year-to-date). This success is attributable to both increasing market demand and to Naturex's 14 years of expertise in the extraction and formulation of rosemary extracts from Naturex's Moroccan facility. This plant is located close to abundant native rosemary fields and has strong extraction capabilities (> 20 tons per day).
Of the NAT'Stabil line (more than 100 different extracts from rosemary), StabilEnhance and Oxy'Less products are soluble in oil and water with very little taste. Naturex's expertise in formulation, application, and new-product development is backed by experienced technical service and in-depth scientific support. Thanks to an in-house food laboratory, Naturex has developed rosemary extracts that work well for a broad range of food applications. Naturex has also compared StabilEnhance and Oxy'Less antioxidant activity to synthetic antioxidants and other available rosemary extracts. These studies are available upon request.
