Naturally Best unveils healthy potato

08/02/06 Naturally Best, the company behind the Vivaldi potato, has evidence that shows a healthy option potato is already on sale on supermarket shelves.

Whether chipped, roasted, mashed, baked, or boiled, potatoes have been given a bad press. They have been seen as a food to avoid whilst being health conscious, repeatedly billed as a source of high carbohydrates and calories.

Sure as eggs is eggs, potatoes are potatoes.  Not the case!  Independent tests confirm that when compared to the Industry standard, Vivaldi potatoes on average contain:

- 26% less carbohydrate
- 33% fewer calories

What’s more, Vivaldi potatoes can contain:

- Up to 38% less carbohydrate
- Up to 56% fewer calories

It’s so versatile, whether it’s boiled, mashed, baked or roasted, extensive taste tests put Vivaldi consistently ahead of its rivals.  Gone are the days of pretending to be a potato connoisseur at the veg stalls.  Vivaldi offers a great tasting, all-round, healthy potato option for the whole family.  Its’ smooth and creamy texture and excellent flavour speaks for itself.

On sale in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, you’ll find Vivaldi within the ‘Taste the Difference’ premium range of everyday foods.  As their name suggests, Vivaldi potatoes are available ‘four seasons’ of the year.
