Moonstruck Chocolate Co. Opens First Chocolate Cafe in Washington, D.C. Area

21/11/07 Moonstruck Chocolate Co. has opened its first Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe in the Washington, D.C. area at Tysons Galleria in McLean, Va. The Tysons Galleria Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe represents the company's fourteenth cafe nationally. The opening also culminates an eight-week period of expansion for the company, during which five new Moonstruck Chocolate Cafes opened across the country.
"It has been an exciting autumn for us with five new cafes opening up over the last two months," said Delmar Fuhrman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Moonstruck Chocolate Co. "With this latest opening, we are very happy to be bringing the Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe experience to chocolate lovers in and around our nation's capital."
To celebrate the opening of the Tysons Galleria Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe, customers who purchase an espresso or chocolate beverage at the cafe through Sunday, Nov. 25, and mention this promotion will receive a complimentary truffle of their choice.
Moonstruck Chocolate Cafes offer Moonstruck Chocolatier's full line of classic and seasonal handcrafted artisan chocolates. The cafes also serve unique espresso and chocolate beverages, including handmade milkshakes, that feature Moonstruck Chocolate. In addition, customers can enjoy fresh pastries and decadent desserts, all in a relaxed and comfortable cafe setting.
There are currently 14 Moonstruck Chocolate Cafes across the country. New cafes opened this fall in the Detroit area, outside of Chicago, outside of Boston and outside of Washington, D.C. They joined existing cafes in the Portland, Ore. area, the San Francisco Bay area, Chicago and Champaign, Ill. Moonstruck Chocolate Co. has also announced plans to open three more cafes, one in the Chicago area and two outside of New York City, by 2009.
