Mission Foods to open new facility
The multi-million dollar facility would include the latest manufacturing technologies.
27/01/05 Mission Foods will bring new life to Wright Township with the construction of a new tortilla manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution center in a Keystone Opportunity Zone. The $33.9 project in Crestwood Industrial Park is expected to bring at least 232 new jobs to Luzerne County within the next three years. The plant will encompass 110,000 square feet in 2005 and is expandable to 150,000 in 2007. The plant will be Mission Foods` newest facility and include the latest manufacturing technologies.
The project continues Mission Foods` commitment to the latest technology and production methods as well as to community development. Daniel N. Frascella, Sr., Supervisor of Wright Township views this opportunity as a sound economic investment for the citizens of Luzerne County and for the state of Pennsylvania.
The operation will be starting up by the second quarter of 2005 and will serve the northeast market with fresh, locally made products.
