McCain to Acquire Jon-Lin Frozen Foods
McCain Foods Limited has agreed to acquire Jon-Lin, Inc. of Colton, Calif., a food service manufacturer of premium sautéed, grilled, fire-roasted and smokehouse roasted vegetables as well as onion rings and other appetizer products.
“Jon-Lin is a perfect fit with our category-leading international appetizer business,” Mr. Morrison said in making the announcement.
“We are excited about joining the McCain family, and we anticipate that their strength in market channels will present phenomenal growth opportunities for the category,” Mr. Burch added.
McCain Foods USA CEO Frank van Schaayk noted that the acquisition of Jon-Lin is an important addition to McCain Foods USA’s growing portfolio of “Great Food, Good Sense” products. “Jon-Lin is the recognized leader in the growing premium vegetable category and we are excited to bring this quality capability and all the associated innovation possibilities to our customers across the United States.”
