Martell “Icons of Caractère”
19 Mar 2014 --- Following the launch of the newest Martell spirit Martell Caractère last October; the House of Cognac has announced the establishment of the “Icons of Caractère” program which comprises contemporary icons highlighting exceptional stories of character.
Martell Caractère pays tribute to the spirit of Jean Martell, founder of the Martell House of Cognac. Notorious for his strength of character, Jean Martell inspired Benoit Fil, The Martell Cellar Master, to combine a blend of two types of eaux-de-vie. The result reveals tasting notes of citrus and cinnamon.
To promote exceptional stories of character, Martell kicked off its program “Icons of Caractère”. Each icon shares a personal story of character across a variety of fields: entertainment, business, cuisine and the arts.
On the 11th of February, the famous actor and filmmaker Andy Garcia presented his short film in collaboration with Martell Caractère. The film “Mi Maestro” showcases the journey of Mambo music pioneer Israel “Cachao” Lopez.
The next Icon of Caractère has also been announced, Grammy-nominated singer Gustavo Galindo.
