12 Oct 2012 --- Europe’s leading multi-material packaging manufacturer, LINPAC Packaging, has won a major contract to supply one of Poland’s top meat processing companies with more than 100 million polystyrene trays a year.

LINPAC’s site in Bukowice, Poland, will supply trays to Pini Polonia, one of the region’s largest meat processors.

Adam Barnett, Vice President Sales at LINPAC Packaging, said: “This is a significant new business win for our team at Bukowice, and underscores how our Fresh Thinking philosophy can deliver solutions that help our customers.

“Working in partnership with the team at Pini Polonia we will deliver more than 100 million trays to ensure their products are packaged to best protect, preserve and present the company’s wide range of pork products.”

Pini Polonia, which commenced its Polish operations in 2010, is one of the most modern meat processing plants in Poland, handling the slaughter and preparation of more than 1,000 pigs an hour. Modern technology and high quality raw material ensure high standards of quality and health.

That commitment to quality and health means that LINPAC’s trays will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and packaging for Central and Eastern retailers and consumers.

Based at Wschodnia, central Poland, the Pini Polonia plant’s products are approved for export to all EU countries, plus the Ukraine, CIS, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and New Zealand. The plant is in the process of obtaining permissions to export to the USA, Canada, China, the Philippines and Australia.

LINPAC Packaging Bukowice largely supplies the various distribution companies within the group in Central and Eastern Europe – including Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the Balkans – and is continually striving to improve its standards and meet customer expectations.
