Lake Brothers Beer Company Launches in Michigan

06 July 2016 --- DETROIT, MI – With its recent launch, Lake Brothers Beer Company has introduced a flavorful but easy-drinking lager built upon the heritage of the Great Lakes region.

Detroit’s newest beer contains just four all-American ingredients: hops (Liberty and Cluster), malted Midwestern barley, yeast and, of course, Great Lakes water. Lake Brothers Lager is brewed in Corktown under the watchful eye of brewmaster Ken Belau. Amber in color, the beer aims to be a reliable, highly drinkable option for craft drinkers while also being an approachable option to those who have historically preferred lighter beer.

Founders and brothers-in-law Sean Farrell and Mike Grodecki were inspired by the regional lager brands of yesteryear. “We wanted to pay homage to classic, heritage brands, but also know that today’s beer drinker demands the highest quality,” states Grodecki.

With the ethos “Honest Beer, Honest Folk”, the pair set out to create a beer and a brand that lager fans across the Great Lakes could embrace. Grodecki adds, “We are very proud to call this region our home. We are equally proud to offer our Lager to our neighbors, near and far.”

Lake Brothers has partnered with Imperial Beverage for distribution throughout the state of Michigan. Based in Kalamazoo, Imperial Beverage has grown from a one county beer distributor to a top 10 statewide beer and wine wholesaler.
