07/12/2007 Container specialists Johnsen & Jorgensen (J & J) have recently demonstrated their packaging development expertise in a major project for London department store, Harrods.
Working under the direction of design consultants - Honey Creative and Harrods’ in-house team - J & J played an important role in the updating of packaging for Harrods’ own ‘Signature’ range of food products which, includes chutneys, preserves and honeys.
J & J also handled the manufacture of the 200ml and 300ml clear-glass jars with twist-off caps, which are embossed with the distinctive Harrods’ logo. This introduces a stylish uniformity to the ‘Signature’ range which – together with other design elements – strengthens the ‘Signature’ branding proposition.
J & J Sales Manager, Mike Bogod, is delighted with the outcome of this project:
“The ‘Signature’ range is an important part of the Harrods’ food portfolio,” says Mike. “As such, the re-design of the packaging was a key part of the brand’s merchandising and marketing strategy.

“To have played a such vital role in this project demonstrates how far J & J have come, in being able to provide a major company like Harrods with a turnkey service.”
