Introducing TeaZen - Drink Outside The Box

18/03/08 Twinlab TeaZen started as a combination of wanting to combine a delicious, good-for-you tea with fun and whimsy. “I started thinking that there should be something better than the regular everyday, boring traditional teas out there,” says Hollace Rice, creator of TeaZen. “TeaZen makes drinking tea fun and inviting.”

Hollace’s creation, TeaZen, gives tea lovers a chance to “drink outside the box.” Each of the six formulas offers the antioxidant and feel-good benefits of organic white tea in six different flavors. You’ve never seen tea like this before. Instead of bags and boxes, TeaZen is a liquid tea concentrate that comes in bright, easy-to-carry glass bottles. It’s perfect for tea anytime – just add a dropperful of TeaZen to hot or cold water and enjoy.

White tea is the least processed of all teas and is not subjected to the oxidation common with black teas. Because white tea is harvested from only the leaves and buds of the tea plant, it also has a higher concentration of EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate), a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals in your body.

“I call it ‘Functionali-TEA,’” Hollace says. “It’s white tea, so it has the benefits of EGCG, but it’s standardized, so you know how much EGCG you’re getting per serving. It’s hard to judge that with a tea bag.”

Beyond its healthy benefits, TeaZen also puts the “fun” in “functionality” because it makes tea drinking something anyone can enjoy, no matter how busy their life may be. TeaZen comes in a brightly colored, 2 oz bottle and is small enough to fit in a purse or a briefcase, yet each bottle contains 60 servings. Toss TeaZen into your bag and enjoy the feel-good benefits of tea drinking, wherever you go.

TeaZen comes in six flavors: an-TEA-ox; nite-TEA-nite, with lavender and chamomile; an-TEA-stress, with blueberry and St. John’s Wort; vi-TEA-min C, with Vitamin C and elder berry; zippa-TEA-doodah, with ginseng and pomegranate; and be-u-TEA-licious, with green coffee bean and ginger. Each refreshing flavor is loaded with EGCG antioxidants.

TeaZen premiered to retailer acclaim at this past weekend’s Expo West 2008.
