Indena and YOUCARE at the Forum Économique Franco-Chinois

22 Apr 2014 --- Indena S.A.S. – part of the Indena group, the world’s leading producer of high quality plant-derived active principles for use in the pharmaceutical, health-food and personal care industries – and the Chinese Youcare Pharmaceutical Group Co. Ltd. participated in the important Forum Économique Franco-Chinois, recently organized by the Comité France Chine to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations among the two countries on the occasion of the Chinese President visit in France.

This prestigious Forum is the biggest event organized in France in the frame of a Chinese government visit, gathering more than 500 participants, 220 of which were managers of Chinese companies, and was officially closed by Mr. XI Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic. During this important event fifty agreements have been signed among the companies best representing the future in business collaboration between France and China.
Indena S.A.S. and Youcare Pharmaceutical Group Co. Ltd. signed the only agreement in the pharmaceutical sector, aimed to improve their collaboration in producing a high quality botanical extract for the pharmaceutical market, and will cooperate in additional projects.

Indena S.A.S. production site processes about 5,000 tons of raw materials per year, is GMP certified and granted Halal, Kosher and ISO 14001 by the major International regulatory authorities. Indena S.A.S. employs 140 people with a turnover of 35mln Euros. Sales in the pharmaceutical sector generate some 50% of Indena S.A.S. business with health-food products making up the remaining 50%.
